Iconic Buildings in Singapore (A Walk in the Civic District)

Visitors to Singapore Civic District will be surprised to the picturesque scenery within the Civic District.  The area is particular well maintained to showcase to the world the orderliness and efficiency of the country.  A visitor would find the whole of the Civic District to be family friendly with  wide footpath that caters to both pedestrians and cyclists.  A relaxing stroll can also be had while under the canopy of trees when traversing to and from Marina South.

The Civic District includes the whole of CBD and does not extent to the south of it and covers the former colonial administration areas on the north bank of the Singapore River.  The Civic District is the historical part and one would recognise the names of places and buildings that remind us of our Victorian colony past.

While the Mer-Lion and the Marina South is of a recent creation and not part of Civic District, it is nevertheless iconic as it is well recognised landmark in Singapore.

Please leave a comment or interest in the photos or visit to Singapore.
